Jessica Lacy founded Lacy Law Office, LLC in 2008. Jessica has more than 20 years of experience in family and probate law. As a trained guardian ad litem, domestic relations mediator, family law arbitrator, and parenting coordinator, she has helped many families resolve their legal problems. In 1997, Jessica earned her Bachelor of Arts degree from Hanover College, double majoring in English and Secondary Education. Essica earned her Juris Doctor from the South Carolina School of Law in 2000.
In law school, Jessica served as a clerk for the South Carolina Department of Education and the South Carolina Department of Revenue. After graduating, she started her legal career at Rubin & Levin in Indianapolis, specifically in the complex commercial litigation field. After that, Jessica took on the role of general counsel for Continental Enterprises, practicing several areas of law, including intellectual property, corporate, labor, and employment law. Jessica joined Freedman & Associates in 2003, where she started practicing family and probate law.
Jessica had the honor of being named a Rising Star by Super Lawyers in 2010 and 2011, and being named as a Super Lawyer for 2021, 2022, 2023 and 2024. She is a member of the Indiana State Bar Association, the Indianapolis Bar Association, and the Hancock County Bar Association. Jessica believes in serving the community both professionally and personally. On top of volunteering in the Ask a Lawyer program, she volunteers for Kid’s Voice of Indiana as a guardian ad litem, and she has served on the boards for the Hancock County Arts and the Kenneth Butler Memorial Soup Kitchen. ancocH In addition, Jessica conceived and coordinated the Hancock Mediation Day program.
In her off time, Jessica loves reading spending time with her husband, daughter, and their 2 dogs. Jessica loves swimming, camping, hiking, and traveling.
